The present edition is based on the Tchaikovsky's autograph. It reproduces the work's original version (Urtext), facsimile of the manuscript and Ya. Milstein and K. Sorokin's edition of the piece. P. Vaidman's comments are provided, as well as the description of the history of the work and the sources of the publication.
